Joyce Lemos is a professional aerialist, dancer, choreographer, and instructor whose career has taken her from the stages of Rio de Janeiro to the center ring of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Joyce trained extensively in dance and performance and appeared in major Brazilian productions including A Chorus Line as Diana and The Rocky Horror Picture Show as Columbia. She later brought her talents to the United States, where she spent six years touring professionally with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, performing as a dancer and aerialist.

Her professional career also includes performing as a stunt rider at Arabian Nights and as a featured aerialist and soloist at Pirates Dinner Adventure. Beyond performing, Joyce has choreographed numerous regional theatrical productions, including The Producers, RENT, The Jungle Book, Once Upon a Mattress and Pippin.

That professional experience is at the heart of what makes training with Joyce different. Students are learning from someone who has not only studied aerial arts and dance, but has performed them professionally at the highest level, night after night, in large-scale productions before audiences across the country.

Joyce brings that same level of technique, discipline, artistry, performance quality, and attention to detail into the studio. She understands that becoming a strong aerialist is about more than learning tricks—it is about developing clean technique, strength, musicality, confidence, stage presence, and the ability to turn skills into a true performance.

Just as importantly, Joyce is a thoughtful and deeply invested teacher. She recognizes that every student comes to aerial arts with different strengths, challenges, and goals. Her ability to see the potential in each individual allows her to challenge students while supporting them at the level they need.
